Section 504 is a federal civil rights law prohibiting discrimination against individuals with disabilities in programs that receive federal financial assistance, including public schools. Under Section 504, students with disabilities, including those with ADHD, are entitled to receive FAPE. This means they should have access to regular or special education and related aids and services designed to meet their individual needs as adequately as the needs of students without disabilities are met.
