Why was Vayarin Discontinued?

I recently learned that Vayarin was discontinued in the US when one of my patients contacted me about the kosher status of Vayarin and its availability in Israel. So why was Vayarin discontinued?

According to the manufacturers’ website – Vayarin was manufactured by VAYA and when the company was sold they made a strategic decision to be a supplier of bulk ingredients only.

Since 2018 in Israel, Vayarin has been sold under the name Zoom by TEVA and we have verified that the ingredients are the same as in Vayarin.

Regarding the kosher status – Zoom and Vayarin contains PS – phosphatidylserine which is sourced from shell fish – Rabbi Zaritzki in Israel allows for the medical use of Zoom..

Zoomind is sold as a dietary supplement and is available at select pharmacies.

It can now be purchased here on Reekooz.

Ingredients in Zoomind include:
L-Tyrosine 250 mg
Phosphatidylserine 50% 150 mg
Omega-3 Fatty Acids 5 mg

Microcrystalline Cellulose, Gelatin, and Silicon Dioxide.
Contains Fish and Soy.

Zoomind capsules do not contain sugar, lactose, yeast or gluten.
