Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG)

Sex hormone-binding globulin, also known as sex steroid-binding globulin, is a protein that attaches to male and female hormones. When it is made by certain cells in the testicles, it's called androgen-binding protein. People with PCOS often have lower levels of SHBG.
