Progestin Therapy

A progestogen, also known as a progestagen, gestagen, or gestogen, is a medicine that mimics the natural female hormone progesterone. A progestin is a man-made version of this hormone. The progestin-only pill (POP), or minipill, has progestin but no estrogen. Similar to combined oral contraceptives (COCs), POPs can aid in managing hormonal issues in people with PCOS.
