Hyperinsulinemia

Hyperinsulinemia means having too much insulin in the blood. It's not the same as diabetes, but it’s often linked to type 2 diabetes. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas. Hyperinsulinemia also plays a role in many cases of PCOS.
