Corticosteroids

Corticosteroids, often called steroids, are drugs that reduce inflammation. Taking a small dose of glucocorticoids can help with excessive hair growth in women who have congenital adrenal hyperplasia. But, it's unclear if it helps hair growth caused by other reasons. For women with PCOS, using glucocorticoids for a long time isn't recommended unless they have a lot of adrenal androgens.
