Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis is a long-lasting skin condition that causes symptoms like flaky, scaly, greasy, and sometimes itchy and red skin. It often affects areas rich in oil-producing glands, such as the scalp, face, and chest. This condition is usually triggered by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Seborrheic dermatitis is linked to hair loss because increased sebum production can irritate the scalp, leading to itchiness. Scratching can harm hair follicles, which disrupts natural hair growth and causes hair to fall out.
