Ringworm (Tinea Capitis)

Scalp ringworm, or tinea capitis, is a rash resulting from a fungal infection. It often leads to itchy, scaly, and bald spots on the head. This condition is mainly caused by fungi called Microsporum and Trichophyton. These fungi can enter the outer layer of hair follicles and may eventually invade the hair itself.
