Hair Follicle Miniaturization
Hair follicle miniaturization happens when the hair follicle becomes smaller, making it difficult for hair to grow. When this occurs, follicles that once produced strong, healthy hair begin to create thinner, weaker hairs that easily fall out. This process can lead to a receding hairline and balding. Miniaturization of hair can be caused by factors such as genetics, aging, and the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT), or a mix of all three.
